President Obama to Nominate New Veterans’ Court CAVC Judge

President Obama has announced his intent to fill the only remaining judicial vacancy at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. The CAVC judge nominee will be William Greenberg, currently a partner at the Newark, New Jersey office of McCarter & English. Mr. Greenberg is a retired Brigadier General. He has been honored by the New Jersey State Bar for helping to establish a military legal assistance program. Presently, the Court has eight judges. The ninth spot must be filled by January 1 or else it will expire. President Obama recently appointed Judges Pietsch and Bartley, both of whom were confirmed.
