Ben Pittard is the Founder and President of Trident Logistics, LLC, a third-party logistics provider based in Charleston, South Carolina. As freight brokers, he and his teammates source domestic trucking capacity to meet customer freight demand.  In 2022, Trident Logistics acquired an NVOCC Freight Forwarder, which specializes in arranging ocean imports and exports.

Before starting his own company, Ben was an operations and risk management executive at Automotive Management Services, Inc., the largest privately-owned automotive dealership group in the US, based in West Palm Beach, Florida.  While at AMSI, Ben co-founded Flex Plus, LLC – a floorplan finance company for independent automotive dealers and wholesalers.  Prior to automotive retail, he was a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs and Co. in Atlanta, GA.

All of Ben’s business background has been shaped by his military service as a Navy SEAL Officer.  Ben earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.  While at Navy, he was a first-team All-American and co-captain of the Men’s Rugby team.  Ben completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training with class 259 and served on active duty and in the reserves for 11 years as a SEAL Officer.  After completing his service, Ben graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance. Ben and his wife, Kate, live in Charleston and are blessed with four wonderful children.
