Omaha-Lawmakers and veteran groups such as the Vietnam Veterans of America are pushing to establish a research center that links Agent Orange to health problems in veterans’ children and grandchildren. Supports of this Act include about half of the members of congress and all of Nebraska and Iowa representatives in the house except for one. The VA officials support the research but feel as though they are not adequately suited due to the fact that they do not have pediatricians on staff and do not regularly deal with children’s health issues.
