President Obama signed the COLA Act of 2016 on Friday July 22nd. This advocate allows disabled veterans to receive an increase in their benefits for 2017. The amount of the increase will be equivalent to the increase provided under Title II of the Social Security Act. Other items included in this bill are additional compensation for dependents, clothing allowance for certain disabled veterans, and dependency and indemnity compensation for surviving spouses.
