Military Times- Post 9/11 veterans who have been denied disability compensation from the years of 2007 to 2015 have a chance to receive their benefits. Veterans who suffered from traumatic brain injuries have the opportunity to have another medical exam for brain injury. These veterans will not need to file a new claim and if awarded compensation it will be backdated to the day the initial claim was filed.
