Veterans Help Group and Richard Sponsor Exclusive Evening Honoring Medal of Honor Recipients in Chicago
At Veterans Help Group, we’re passionate about helping veterans secure their well-earned VA disability benefits. We’re also proud to stand alongside organizations that celebrate the values of courage, service, and sacrifice. That’s why we were honored to sponsor “An Evening of Honor” in Chicago alongside Richard, a purpose-driven general contracting company.
A Night to Remember
Hosted by the National Medal of Honor Center for Leadership, this exclusive dinner brought together leaders, veterans, and supporters to spotlight two incredible American heroes: Harvey C. “Barney” Barnum, Jr., US Marine Corps (Ret.), and Ryan M. Pitts, US Army (Ret.). These Medal of Honor recipients shared their powerful stories of bravery and leadership through a moderated panel discussion.
With only 61 living recipients of the Medal of Honor today, having both Barnum and Pitts in the same room was nothing short of extraordinary. Their reflections on courage, service, and sacrifice inspired everyone in attendance and reminded us how these values can guide today’s business and community leaders.
“We are deeply grateful to Veterans Help Group and Richard for making this evening possible. Supporting this event wasn’t just about sponsorship; it was about standing up for the same principles that guide us every day as we advocate for veterans across the country.”- Tom Hudner III, Vice President for Development at the National Medal of Honor Center for Leadership
Building a Better Tomorrow, One Project at a Time
Veterans Help Group proudly sponsors this event alongside Richard, a Chicago-based construction company founded by veteran Jed Richard. Since 2014, Richard has been building more than just buildings, they’ve been creating spaces that support health, community, and sustainability. From hospitals to government projects to high-tech data centers, they’ve tackled it all, always with a focus on people first. Their work has earned them national awards and recognition as one of the fastest-growing, best places to work.
Bringing Leadership Values to the Next Generation
The National Medal of Honor Center for Leadership is doing vital work, preparing young people, professionals, and public servants with the leadership tools they need to carry forward the best traditions of what it means to be an American. Through their programs, the values of courage, integrity, commitment, sacrifice, citizenship, and patriotism are shared with future generations.
We were humbled to play a part in supporting their mission and helping amplify the voices of these remarkable Medal of Honor recipients.
