The National Vietnam Veterans Foundation closes its doors after an in-depth CNN report last May. The report showed that the Foundation collected $29 million but nearly all of it went to telemarketers and fundraisers. David Kaufman, vice president of the charity, wrote to CNN stating that Tom Burch, the organizations president, has resigned from the Foundation and that The National Vietnam Veterans Foundation will be shutting down completely. Currently the only actions by the organization are the distribution of blankets, personal care kits, and other items stocked in the warehouse. Full Article
