Veterans Help Group and Sixth Region AUSA Announce Collaboration to Enhance Disability Support for Veterans

Veterans Help Group (VHG) and the Sixth Region Association of the United States Army (AUSA) have joined forces in a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at improving access to and understanding of disability benefits for veterans. This initiative introduces a new Disability Eligibility Screener, tailored to support veterans within the Sixth Region of AUSA.

The Sixth Region AUSA encompasses Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and California, representing a diverse and vibrant community of veterans and military families. Recognizing the ongoing challenges veterans face when navigating the complex VA benefits system, the partnership is focused on simplifying and streamlining the process.

Introducing the VA Disability Eligibility Screener

At the heart of this collaboration is the VA Disability Eligibility Screener, a user-friendly tool designed to help veterans evaluate their eligibility for disability compensation related to service-connected conditions. Through a series of guided questions, veterans can quickly gain insights into their potential benefits.

Once the screening is complete, users are given the opportunity to connect with a VA accredited advocate for additional support and guidance. This ensures veterans not only understand their eligibility but also receive personalized assistance in taking the next steps.

Joe Waring, CEO of Veterans Help Group, emphasized the importance of this initiative:

“We are proud to partner with the Sixth Region AUSA to bring access, information, and assistance to veterans and their families. We consider it our duty to help raise awareness about whether veterans might be eligible for earned disability benefits and how they can engage with VA accredited assistance for their needs.”

Jay Sweeney, President of the Sixth Region AUSA, echoed the importance of the collaboration:

“Our members have sacrificed so much for our nation, and ensuring they have the resources to access their VA benefits is a top priority. This collaboration with Veterans Help Group brings an invaluable service directly to our community, and we’re excited to see the impact it will have.”

VA Disability Eligibility Screener Access

The Disability Eligibility Screener was officially launched on April 11, 2025, and is now available to all members of the Sixth Region AUSA. Educational outreach and support resources are also being deployed to ensure veterans across the region can make full use of this valuable tool.

Veterans are encouraged to visit https://veteranshelpgroup.com/va-ausa/ to access the screener and learn more.
