VA Disability Payment Schedule for 2025

VA disability benefits are typically paid out on the first day of the month following the benefit month. So, for example, June benefits are typically paid out on the first day of July. There are a few exceptions, though. When the first day of the month falls on a non-business day such as a holiday or a weekend, payments are processed early.

Here’s the VA disability payment schedule for 2025:

December 2024 benefits will be paid on December 31, 2024, due to the January 1 holiday.

January 2025 benefits will be paid on January 31, 2025, due to February 1 being a Saturday.

February 2025 benefits will be paid on February 28, 202,5 due to March 1 being a Saturday.

March 2025 benefits will be paid on April 1, 2025

April 2025 benefits will be paid on May 1, 2025

May 2025 benefits will be paid on May 30, 2025, due to June 1 being a Sunday.

June 2025 benefits will be paid on July 1, 2025.

July 2025 benefits will be paid on August 1, 2025

August 2025 benefits will be paid on August 29, 2025, due to September 1 being the Labor Day holiday.

September 2025 benefits will be paid on October 1, 2025.

October 2025 benefits will be paid on October 31, 2025, due to November 1 being a Saturday.

November 2025 benefits will be paid on December 1, 2025

December 2025 benefits will be paid on December 31, 202,5 due to the January 1 holiday.

Veterans will see an increase of 2.5% in their VA disability benefits for 2025. That increase is effective December 1, 2024. However, because VA disability benefits are paid after the benefit month, the first payment that reflects the increase will be the one paid out on December 31, 2024.
