2024 Year in Review
By: Donnel Beckles, VA Managing Advocate
Last year was an exciting era of growth here at Veterans Help Group. We added 7 new teams (for a total of 14) led by VA-accredited Senior Advocates. We expanded our directory of medical and vocational experts. We strengthened our relationships with Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) on a national and local level. And we gave back to the various communities we serve.
Highlights From Our Year
In 2024, we revamped our YouTube account. Visit our YouTube here for informative content about us and for answers to most frequently asked VA disability questions. We’re excited for this new way to connect with veterans across the country.
VHG wasn’t alone in its growth. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs achieved record productivity in service to disabled veterans and their survivors.
Key VA highlights include:
- Over 2 million claims processed (all time record)
- $187 billion in benefits paid to 6.7 million veterans and survivors (all time records)
- Over 116,192 appeals processed (12.5% increase from 2023)
- 96% of veterans housed did not return to homelessness
- 2.5% cost of living adjustment for 2025.
Here To Help You
Despite the many changes we saw this past year, Veterans Help Group stayed on mission. We are masters of one trade: helping veterans and their families get the disability benefits they deserve. I’m proud to announce that we had a record-breaking year, delivering over $110 million in VA benefits for our clients. At the same time, we earned some of our highest customer service ratings ever.
That being said, the job is far from over. Many veterans and survivors are still waiting far too long to enjoy the benefits they earned. Our advocates remain laser-focused on the mission. Stay tuned as we take the fight into 2025! And dont forget, if you ever need help with your VA disability claims, we’re only a call or click away. 855-855-8992
